Night One In Columbus Rocks!!
Another great show for the fans tonight as Brody Wilson takes the overall in a close battle with JJ Romans. Five riders made it into the Toyota Tundra Final and the scores were tight from the qualifiers. Casey Higgins went first to score a 90 on his big thumper Yamaha and that set the stage for the other four. Jason Rowe, the "Chi-Town Hustler" who is coming off a big injury and was surprised to be in the final. He was pretty tired since he has been riding a recliner for six months. He pulled an 89 which sent him to the showers early. Next out was the "Rookie" James Carter who in only his third IFMA appearance made it into the final. A big crash in the qualifier did not stop him from taking the Toyota Hotseat with a 91. The "Ladies Choice" JJ Romans put his pink framed Yammie through it's paces and won over the crowd and the judges with some sweet backflips. His only mistake was nearly a painful one as he hooked a boot on his bars coming in from a big Stripper! The judges were happy enough to toss him a well deserved 92 and award him some seat time on the Toyota Tundra stage. Last to go was Brody Wilson. If you think you have seen some sick extension- think again until you see this kid ride. He is one of the few riders to bust a win without a flip in his run. The run was just clean enough to score him the win from the judges with a 93.5.
We took a break from the big air for the break neck precision trials of Geoff Aaron. He spent a bit of time in two shows running the Red Bull Moto-Trials Playground. The balance is amazing and you need to see this guy run.
Head 2 Head sponsored by DoSomethingAmazing.com and the US Air Force put JJ Romans on top with a backflip to beat all comers and Brody Wilson took the honors with pancake flat whip in the Racer X Best Whip Contest.
Tonights fans got a special price break on the upcoming Monster Jam March 14-15 right here in Columbus. If you missed the action (and special ticket deal) tonight, you can show up Saturday for a new show and Pit Party!

Columbus Gets Loud!!
The first night in Columbus had the loudest crowd I have heard all year, until tonight. A larger crowd for sure but just as enthusiastic as the night before and that pushed the limit even higher. And, tonight JJ Romans got the monkey off his back and pulled off a win.
First I have to thank Geoff Aaron for thrilling the fans on his Montesa trials machine while going huge on the RedBull Moto-Trials Playground. His sense of balance and machine control is simply amazing and if you have never witnessed indoor Moto-Trials then make sure you do not leave your seat at our upcoming shows.
The DoSomethingAmazing.com Head to Head competition saw the riders bring their A-game to the fan judged affair. It came down to Brody Wilson, James "Rookie" Carter and the "Ladies Choice" JJ Romans for the final. Carter did well and Wilson went huge, but JJ busted it upside down to get the seal of approval from the crowd.
In the RacerX Illustrated whip contest, the crowd had a tough job because once again we got them to do the judging. Just like last night they did a perfect job and picked the winner from four riders. Brody Wilson carved the sky like a big wave and took the win.
Onto the Toyota Tundra FMX Final. Jason Rowe started out with a solid run and looked great while still coming back from a serious femur break in the off season. "The Chi-Town Hustler" got to sit on the hotseat first with a score of 90.5. "Redneck" Shawn Connors went out next and used bar tricks like the Shaolin and McMetz to wrest the lead away with a 92 point score. Derek Cook went third in the final and his run was super solid. He struggled the night before but used some extra time in practice to perfect his style to score a 90. Next up was JJ Romans. He was determined to take the win after losing all season long to Wilson by a hair. The two score so close the judges really have to nit-pick to find any flaws in their runs. JJ got into the Toyota Hotseat with a 94.25 using three backflip combinations and then had to wait to see what Wilson had to offer. Wilson used his patented multiple trick combos to try and take the win, but he could only muster a 94. JJ took the win by only a quarter point!
The season is definitely not over and every weekend the competition gets tighter and tighter. Make sure you check out the scheduel regulary since we are looking to add shows all the time. We will see you next week!
