Freestyle Motocross

Friday 8PM:

How about a packed house here in Pensacola on FRIDAY THE 13TH! Tonight was a great night to be in Pensacola . The crowd was insane and so were all the riders. In the openings runs all the riders were running solid and it was Jason Rowe, Garry Robertson, Greg Hartman, and Slade Waltman making the Finals.

In the Xtreme MotoTrials, Pensacola would be dazzled with the precision bike handing skills of 9 time National Champion, Geoff Aaron. FMX rider, and Aaron fan, Johnny Jones was privileged to come out and help me co-announce for his long time hero, Geoff Aaron. I also managed talking Johnny into letting Aaron bunny-hop him... and he his 6' tall! The first run up was too close for comfort and Geoff backed off. On his second attempt he flew over him with plenty of room to spare.

In the Team Competition it would come down to Garry Roberson and Clint Esposito with a 28 going up against Jason Rowe and Greg Hartman. Jason and Greg came out and killed it with a synchronized run turning into a train run with all the trick variations you could ask for. In the end the Rowe/Hartman duo would land the win.

The "Cannonlady" once again erupted from the cannon with a solid launch. She is always a big hit with the crowd with 120' flight above the Civic Center floor.

In the Finals it was Slade coming out putting together a solid run. But with one missed trick he would have to settle with a 91. Still a great score! Next out was Jason Rowe. He would stick every trick and his classic K.O.D was a crowd favorite. He would knock Slade out of the Hot-seat with a 93.5. Out of the gate next was Greg Hartman, Greg was hungry for a win and I could see it. It had been a while and he wanted this one bad. He came out with vengeance and was extended on everything, Or as the man Lurch would say "You cant get extensions like that at a hair salon"! He would take the seat from Rowe with 93.5! Last out was birthday boy Garry Robertson. He had the most motivation to win. With a solid run and a wicked K.O.D it would come down to his K.O.D and Greg's look-back Heart-attack. In the end Garry would not take out Hartman and Greg would get his first win of the year. Way to go Grego! I will let you know how tomorrow shapes up. Happy B-day "G-Funk" Garry Robertson.

Peace,

Sharpie

Sold out in Pensacola !

The house was full and ready for night two of competition. After the tight opening runs the packed house was on its feet and witnessed Clint Esposito, Garry Robertson, Jason Rowe, and Greg Hartman making the Finals.

Once again Geoff Aarron amazed the crowd with his precision XtremeMoto Trial skills. He is the number one guy in the U.S and he was riding like it. Geoff is amazing! You need to see this guy in real life.

How about Jennifer Schnieder, the dazzling and amazing Cannonlady? Her death defying 120 foot Cannon shot tonight was for sure one of the crowd favorites. She never lets us down, Thanks again Jen! You are a diva...

In the Big Trick Tourney we would narrow it down to Jesse Jolson and Matt Cole. Jesse threw a wicked Dead Body and the crowd lit up. Matt came out on buddy Chuck Caruthers' bike and whipped it like "Huck A Chuck". In the end the judges would decide that "Youngblood" Jesse Jolson was the winner. Way to go Jesse!

In the Finals Clint came out first with a solid run. He would miss a trick but still score a sweet 90.25.

Next out was Garry Robertson. Garry "G-funk" was dialed in and came out and destroyed it. He would stick every trick and end up taking the hotseat from Clint with a 93.50. Out next was Jason Rowe. He was hungry for a win and came out snappin that bike with all his usual big tricks. But with a missed trick he would not knock Garry out of the hot-seat. Last out was last last night's winner, Greg Hartman. Looking for a repeat he would lay it all on the line. With a huge Cliffhanger and wicked look back Hart Attack it would be close. In the end the "Hitman" Greg Hartman would score a 93.75 and the take the win. Way to repeat Greg!

Overall, it was another killer weekend on the Ramp-It-Up Tour 2006! Here we come Rapid City , SD !
