Born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, Jimmie McGuire just happened to grow up near another popular freestyle rider, “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram, who helped him get his start in freestyle motocross.
“I got started doing freestyle in January 2000,” says McGuire, who has been riding motorcycles since he was a child. “Kenny Bartram helped me get my first contest under my belt, and the rest is history.”
Since entering the world of freestyle, Jimmie has had some top finishes, a fifth at the 2005 Australian X Games ranking right near the top. He also nailed some great runs at the Dew Action Sports Tour qualifier, which enabled him to become the top qualifier. He went on to finish 15th overall in the series.
“My 2005 season was great,” says Jimmie, who also finished 10th overall in the 2005 IFMA series. “I had a lot of fun and rode really well. I’m becoming more aggressive on the course, and I hope to make the top 10 in all the competitions in 2006.”

Jimmy was first introduced to riding by Kenny Bartram. With that kind of influence there isn't any question that Jimmy McGuire is one of the crowd favorites. Jimmy is a crowd favorite in any setting as well as a serious threat to beat anyone at anytime. Jimmy reached the winners podium for the first time at the Dallas IFMA this year and if that wasn't good enough, he went out and won the same event the next night. Jimmy's career highlights also include his 5th place finish at this years Australian X Games.
